Public Salaries

Privacy and corrections

We publish only what the law requires public employers to disclose and governments publish: name, employer, job title, salary paid and taxable benefits, for the year. We add no addresses, photos, social media or anything from other sources about a person, and we do not guess at gender or anything else the list does not say.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong on the official list, the employer that reported it can correct it with the government publisher; we follow the official list. If we matched two different people as one, or split one person in two, email corrections@publicsalaries.com with the page address and we fix it in the next update, usually within a week.

Safety and removal requests

If publishing your name on this site puts you at risk, email us with the page address. We remove the name from search, search engines and our lists (the salary still counts in totals and medians), without asking for details beyond what we need to find the page. There is never a fee. We answer every request.

Search engines

Person pages and each employer's full yearly list are not offered to search engines: they carry a noindex instruction and are left out of our sitemaps, so a name search on Google or Bing does not lead here. Pages about employers, jobs, sectors and years are indexed. We will only change this after independent legal advice, and this page will say so first.

What we collect from visitors

No accounts, no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs.
